Kommuting for Kolaches  

Kolache Factory joins a growing list of companies that are sponsoring commuters as part of the Houston-Galveston Area 10,000,000 Mile Rideshare Challenge. The challenge event will involve thousands of commuters who will share rides resulting in 10,000,000 fewer miles driven and 4,000 fewer tons of greenhouse gas emissions. To participate in the program, commuters use NuRide’s innovative online ridesharing service to find other people going their way and share a ride. The NuRide website then calculates the savings for each ridesharing trip and awards participants with points, which can be redeemed for rewards provided by corporate sponsors.
